The CBS Isothermal V1500-AB keeps samples at liquid nitrogen temperature with no liquid nitrogen in the sample space. The LN2 is held in a jacket inside the vessel wall, so the whole chamber is dry storage. That means no cross-contamination through the liquid and no splashing when racks are pulled. CBS rates the storage area at an average of about -193 °C, and the 21" neck gives open, top-down access to the full rack set. This unit has a CBS 2301 Series controller designed to fill the jacket automatically between programmable level set points. It comes with seven numbered stainless steel racks, and the freezer holds up to 9,100 x 2 mL vials. It suits biorepositories, cell banks and research labs that need contact-free cryogenic storage in a mobile unit on casters.
