Description

Industrial-scale supercritical CO₂ extraction platform built by Liaoyang Nova Pharmaceutical Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., configured with two 150-liter extraction vessels (300 L total charge volume) and a three-stage separator train. This is production-tier capacity in a class where most available used systems top out at 40–90 liters.

The 40 MPa (5,800 PSI) extraction rating places this system above the majority of North American CO₂ platforms, which are commonly limited to 2,000–5,000 PSI. That headroom matters for selective fractionation: higher pressure widens the tunable window for pulling heavier, higher-molecular-weight fractions, while the ambient-to-75 °C temperature band keeps thermally labile targets - terpenes, volatile aromatics, tocopherols - intact. Three separators in series allow pressure-staged fractionation in a single pass rather than post-hoc refinement.

Dual-vessel architecture is the operational advantage here. While vessel I is under extraction, vessel II is being unloaded and recharged, and the documented gas-transfer sequence moves CO₂ from the depleted vessel into the incoming one before venting - recovering solvent that a single-vessel system would lose. The onboard recovery pump pulls residual CO₂ down to ≤0.6 MPa before the vessel is opened.

A dedicated co-solvent circuit (10 L/h metering pump, dosing tank) extends the system beyond neat CO₂ into modifier-assisted extraction for polar targets. Applications include cannabinoid and terpene extraction, essential oils, nutraceutical actives, botanical oleoresins, and pharmaceutical intermediates.

Condition

Unused - Zero Operating Hours. Manufactured 2019. Never placed into production service. Sold as-is, where-is.

Transparent notes for prospective buyers:

  • System has been in storage since manufacture. Elastomeric seals, gaskets and O-rings are original to 2019 and should be treated as consumables requiring inspection or replacement before commissioning, regardless of run hours.
  • Requires approximately 20 ft (6 m) of clear ceiling height for the vessel-lid gantry and hoist. Verify facility clearance before purchase.
  • CO₂ supply cylinders or bulk tank are not included (user-supplied, per OEM documentation).
  • Buyer is responsible for rigging, freight and installation. We can assist with quotes.
  • Buyer is responsible for confirming pressure-vessel code compliance, electrical listing and permitting requirements in their jurisdiction. Documentation available on request - inquire for specifics.
