ForteBio Octet RED96 Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) System (Error)

The ForteBio (Pall) Octet RED96 is an advanced, multi-functional system designed for label-free, real-time protein analysis. Utilizing proprietary Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) technology, it allows researchers to measure kinetics, affinity, and protein quantitation directly from crude samples. Operating with an 8-channel read head, the RED96 provides high-throughput screening in a standard 96-well microplate format, eliminating the need for complex fluidics associated with traditional SPR systems. This specific package includes the main analyzer, an external power controller, the Sidekick offline biosensor preparation station, and a dedicated Dell workstation.

Condition Notes

• Condition: Used / For Parts or Repair (Error Present).
• Functional Status: The main Octet RED96 module, the Sidekick station, the external controller, and the Dell PC workstation all successfully power on. However, we are unable to fully test or operate the system. Upon initialization, the internal mechanical components fail to home or execute any movement. Consequently, the pre-installed Octet Data Acquisition software (v11.1.3.25) registers a critical communication failure, displaying the prompt: "Failed to open motion controller". Due to this specific hardware/software disconnect and the complete lack of internal robotics actuation, this system is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or professional refurbishment.
• Cosmetic Status: Good used condition. The exterior housings are clean and structurally sound, showing only standard laboratory wear. The internal 8-channel read head, wiring harnesses, and sample deck appear physically intact
