Description
The BioAutomation MerMade 12 is a column-format oligonucleotide synthesizer built for laboratories that need flexible, medium-throughput DNA, RNA, and LNA synthesis without stepping up to a production-scale platform. Running standard phosphoramidite chemistry, it synthesizes standard, degenerate, and modified oligos — including phosphorothioate backbones via its dedicated sulfurizing line — across a broad scale range in a single run. With 12 independent columns and 16 amidite positions plumbed for both 2′-OMe/DNA and RNA monomers, it is well suited to primer sets, probes, siRNA/antisense work, and gene-assembly building blocks. The MerMade platform has a deep installed base across universities, core facilities, and pharma, making it a proven, serviceable choice for in-house oligo production. This unit ships with an extensive spare-parts and consumables package — solenoid valves, diaphragm valve blocks, bottle-cap/O-ring assemblies, a spare dispense-needle block, gaskets, and cabling — giving a new owner significant built-in maintenance runway.
