The Beckman Coulter NVT 65 is a high-performance titanium near-vertical-tube ultracentrifuge rotor engineered for isopycnic banding, rate-zonal separations, plasmid DNA purification, lipoprotein analysis, and other density-gradient applications requiring rapid separation of small particles. Tube positions are oriented at a 7.5° angle from vertical, dramatically shortening pathlength and run times compared with conventional fixed-angle rotors, while preserving sharper band resolution than true vertical rotors during reorientation at deceleration.

Constructed from solid titanium with a black polyurethane protective finish, the NVT 65 is corrosion-resistant, chemically robust against a wide range of gradient media (including CsCl up to 1.7 g/mL without speed derating), and rated to a maximum of 65,000 RPM / 402,000 × g. The 8-position fluted body holds standard Quick-Seal or Optiseal tubes (13.5 mL nominal) and is designed for use in Beckman Coulter Optima-series ultracentrifuges and other instruments classified H, R, S.

This unit ships as a complete rotor assembly kit, including original Beckman accessories required for loading, tightening, and maintenance — exactly the package molecular biology and biochemistry labs need to deploy the rotor immediately upon installation.
